Many of you have probably heard that New Mexico's Phase 2 has been paused by the state government. This means BMPA is still limited to lane swimming and 2-students-per-instructor swim lessons.
Assessments are due 1 July. Please note: If you do not pay your assessment this summer and wish to continue your membership next summer, you will owe two assessments ($475 for 2020 and the yet-unknown amount for 2021). Try to find a renter this year to offset your out-of-pocket expense for the assessment if you will not use the pool this summer.
Showers are closed. Restroom use is limited to emergencies only. All surfaces are disinfected multiple times a day. (We don't want your clothes to get ruined.) Absolutely no changing on the pool deck. Please arrive ready to swim and leave in your swimwear when you are out of the pool.
Beginning 1 July, all reservations for members who have not paid the 2020 assessment and submitted 2020 forms--including waivers--will be cancelled. Our insurance company takes this serious, y'all! Please contact Membership (Amelia Epperson) or Treasurer (Jenn Best) if you have any questions.
For now, please continue to only reserve 2 member/family spots per week and 1 member/family spot per weekend. Some members are reserving multiple spots per day and we are beginning to receive complaints from other members who cannot make a reservation. If there are spots available day-of, please sign up even if you have already reserved your allocated weekly spots. We are trying to ensure as many members as possible are able to enjoy our pool. Clarification: Two household members can share one swim lane and need only reserve one spot. Swim lessons spots are for up to 2 students per instructor.The instructor MUST be in the pool with the students.
Because recreational swimming is still not allowed, only kickboards and diving rings are available for check out from the basketroom. No goggles or toys. Please also do not bring oversized pool floats for your swim lessons.
